A night under the stars of La Palma
La Palma is known worldwide as the Island of Stars for having one of the purest and darkest night skies on the planet. On our stargazing tour, in the hands of a certified astronomer & Starlight guide, you will find the opportunity to explore the cosmos in a way that you will never forget.
How does the experience work?
The session begins with an introduction to astronomy and the sky of La Palma. The guide will help you recognize the main constellations visible in the sky. Afterwards, we will observe the most fascinating objects in the sky through a powerful telescope.
During the entire session, you can ask as many questions as you like. Our guides make astronomy accessible and exciting to everyone, from kids to seniors.
What will you observe?
Depending on the time of year and the phases of the Moon, you can contemplate:
- The Milky Way with billions of stars visible to the naked eye
- Solar System Planets: Jupiter with its moons, Saturn with its rings, Mars, Venus…
- The Moon: discover its craters, seas and mountains
- Nebulae: cosmic clouds of gas and dust, the birthplaces and remnants of stars
- Star clusters: group of stars, from loose open clusters to dense globular ones
- Nearby Galaxies: like Andromeda, visible to the naked eye on clear Moonless nights
- Constellations: figures formed by stars in the sky
Modalities
Group: Share the experience with other families and cosmos enthusiasts. Maximum 15 people to maintain the quality of experience. The talk is in English and Spanish simultaneously.
Private: Enjoy an exclusive session fully personalized to your interests and level of astronomical knowledge. Ideal for couples, families or groups of friends. Private tours are also available in Italian.
Location
Tours take place at strategic points on La Palma selected for their exceptional darkness and panoramic views, far from light pollution. The meeting point will be confirmed on the day of the tour via email to all registered participants. Options: Llano del Jable Astronomical Viewpoint or Llano de Las Ventas Astronomical Viewpoint (approximately a 7-minute drive from each other). Observation does not take place at the Roque de Los Muchachos Astrophysical Observatory.
Tour conditions
- Subject to weather conditions
- We do not provide any transfer service. Rental car or taxi is required (there is no public transport to the astronomical viewpoints)
- Warm clothes are required
- No white light use in the observation area (affects night vision)
- Minimum recommended age: 6 years
- Not available in the days near the full Moon
- Tours dates are usually published 3-4 months in advance
Cancellation policy
By booking this tour, you confirm that you have read and accepted our cancellation policy.
The Company may cancel or modify the tour due to circumstances beyond its control or force majeure. We are not responsible for errors made during the booking process (incorrect dates, duplicate bookings, etc.).
Cancellations or changes by the Company
The tour may be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or if the minimum number of participants is not reached (for group tours). In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and you may choose to:
- Reschedule (subject to availability)
- Keep your ticket valid for 1 year at no extra cost
- Receive a full refund
Cancellations or changes by the customer (group tour)
- Cancellation: 50% fee up to 48 hours before the start time. After that, non-refundable.
- Date changes: free up to 48 hours before the start time (subject to availability). After that, not permitted.
- If the Company reschedules the tour (e.g. due to bad weather), the customer may cancel the new booking up to 48 hours before it starts.

- Cancellation: deposit is non-refundable.
- Date changes: free up to 48 hours before the start time. After that, the deposit is forfeited.

Refunds
Refunds are issued using the original payment method within a maximum of 7 business days.
