We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue access to the website at any time and without prior notice. We may also update these terms; the version published on this page is always the one in force.

Users agree to use the website lawfully and not to carry out activities that could damage, disable or impair the service or the rights of third parties.

All content on this website — texts, photographs, illustrations, logos, design and code — is the property of Ad Astra La Palma or its content providers and is protected by intellectual property law. Reproduction, distribution or modification without express written authorisation is strictly prohibited.

04 General activity terms

Making a booking implies acceptance of these terms and our privacy policy.

  • We reserve the right to modify tour conditions due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure (extreme weather, emergencies, etc.), informing clients as early as possible.
  • Transport to the activity location is not included unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Punctuality is required. Unjustified delays may result in loss of participation rights without refund.
  • Special conditions apply to private groups. Please contact us for details.
  • Completing a booking confirms your understanding and acceptance of the cancellation and change policy for that activity.

05 Activity-specific terms

Observatory Visit (Roque de los Muchachos)

  • Booking required at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Participants must have their own transport. Fuel tank must be full before ascending.
  • Outdoor activity at 2,400 m altitude. Warm clothing and comfortable shoes are essential.
  • Not recommended for people with anaemia, heart or respiratory conditions, those over 70, or infants.

Stargazing (group and private)

  • Booking required at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Activity subject to weather conditions.
  • Own transport to the activity location.
  • Not recommended for children under 6.
  • The private session requires an advance deposit.

Walk Under the Stars

  • Booking deadline: 12:00 noon on the day of the activity.
  • Not cancelled by light rain; suspended in heavy rain or strong winds.
  • Does not include telescope observation.
  • Maximum 15 participants.
  • Payment in cash to the guide at the start of the activity.
  • Not recommended for children under 6.

Starparty VIP (private)

  • Maximum 6 people.
  • Advance deposit required by bank transfer.
  • Activity subject to weather conditions.
  • Own transport.
  • Not recommended for children under 6.

Wine & Moon

  • Fixed advance payment by bank transfer at booking; remainder paid at the venue.
  • Activity is not weather-dependent.
  • Own transport.
  • Not recommended for under-18s. Alcohol consumption by minors is strictly prohibited.

G-Astronomical Dinner

  • Fixed advance payment by bank transfer at booking; remainder paid at the restaurant.
  • The dinner is not weather-dependent; the subsequent outdoor observation may be affected by conditions.
  • Own transport.
  • Not recommended for under-18s.
  • Warm clothing is recommended for the outdoor stargazing portion of the evening.

Solar Observation

  • Advance deposit required by online payment or bank transfer.
  • Activity subject to weather conditions.
  • Own transport.
  • Not recommended for children under 6.

Special events (Legends of the Sky, Celestial Notes, etc.)

  • Late arrivals will not be admitted once the event has started.
  • Telescope observation may be affected by weather conditions.
  • Not recommended for children under 12.

06 Liability

Ad Astra La Palma is not liable for damages arising from the use of this website, the information it contains, or links to external sites that may appear on it.

During activities, the company will take all reasonable safety measures. However, participants accept the inherent risks of activities in mountain and natural environments, in accordance with the Active Tourism regulations of the Canary Islands.

07 Governing law

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law, in particular the Law on Information Society Services (LSSI 34/2002), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law on Data Protection (LOPDGDD 3/2018). For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of La Palma, Canary Islands.
